RealMedia Canada 2008 Video Discussion Series

Mainstream Media presents little in the way of Canadian news. Its 3 main themes appear to be: political gossip and MP posturings ('infotainment'); violence (war, murders, fatal accidents); or foreign news.

The status quo prefers that little substantive or sustained coverage be given to Canadian news pertaining to: environmental preservation (for example, pertaining to the Tar Sands), solutions to poverty in Canada (minimum wage, housing, social programs), foreign ownership (employment stability, sovereignty), money-creation (monetary policy), or quality economic analysis (fiscal policy).
